Biogaz Europe, now in its 4th edition, was the first dedicated biogas event created for the French market and for each consecutive edition has always had as its core objective how, year on year, to take the French biogas market to the next level.
In 2014 the central theme of the event will be to focus in on the details. Staged in Saint-Brieuc (Brittany) in the heartland of biogas territory in the West of France, the event will tackle head-on key issues that surround the production of biogas today and the implementation of new installations. It will be characterised by its treatment in detail of a number of subjects in a series of conferences and technical workshops in parallel to an international exhibition as well as study tours to some special interest sites in the area.
Plenary session will happen each morning in the amphitheatre, and will deal with topical themes intended for a wide audience. Technical workshops will be conducted in nearby rooms, and will deal with more focused practical issues, with as much interaction as possible with the audience.
The event partners (Chambres d'Agriculture Bretagne & Pays de la Loire, Ademe Bretagne, Région Bretagne, AILE, AAMF et TRAME) have all been involved in the drafting of the programme. The AAMF and its coordinator TRAME will in particular appear throughout the programme through capitalisation works and feedbacks from farmers, providing lively and concrete insights into biogas issues from a farmer's perspective.
All conferences and workshops are provided for free (access to the Exhibition is free with online registration) and in French only (except the one on "thermophilic biogas").
Please note that the programme may be subject to last-minute changes for reasons beyond the organisers control.
Two technical study tours are organised in Friday 31st January morning, on the following sites :
